Creamy Mushroom Chicken

Ingredients:

  • Chicken Breasts                                                2 (boneless and skinless)
  • Mushrooms                                                       6 buttons(sliced)
  • Salt                                                                         To taste                                                               
  • Pepper                                                                                 To taste
  • Garlic                                                                     3 cloves (chopped)
  • Onion                                                                    ½ (chopped)
  • Chicken Broth                                                    ½ cup
  • Heavy Cream                                                     ½ cup
  • Cheddar Cheese                                              ½ cup (grated)
  • Parsley                                                                                 ½ tsp (finely chopped for garnishing)
  • Oil                                                                           for frying Chicken

Cooking instruction

  1. Sprinkle salt and pepper to season the chicken breasts.
  2. Preheat a frying pan to medium-high.

  4. Cook the chicken breasts in a skillet for 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  5. When the chicken is nicely golden brown, take it out of the pan and place it on a platter.
  6. Keep the cooked chicken aside.
  7. Sauté chopped garlic cloves, chopped onion, and sliced mushrooms in the pan until tender.
  8. Add heavy cream of the chicken broth to the pan.
  9. Allow it to boil while constantly stirring lightly.
  10. Further, stir in the grated cheddar cheese until it has melted completely.
  11. Revert the cooked chicken to the pan.
  12. Allow for 5 minutes of simmering time or until the sauce thickens.
  13. Pour some sauce over the chicken.
  14. Turn off the stove when the sauce is thickened enough.
  15. Serve on a platter with freshly chopped parsley as a garnish.
