Waldain is very important in every aspect of our life, they give us everything they get from the world and spend their entire life for us to become happy. So it’s our duty to take care of them in their remaining life but most importantly in old age.
’’وَقَضٰی رَبُّکَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُوْا إِلاَّ إِیَّاہُ وَبِالْوَالِدَیْنِ إِحْسَانًا إِمَّا یَبْلُغَنَّ عِنْدَکَ الْکِبَرَ أَحَدُہُمَا أَوْ کِلاَہُمَا فَلاَ تَقُلْ لَّہُمَا أُفٍّ وَّلاَ تَنْہَرْہُمَا وَقُلْ لَّہُمَا قَوْلاً کَرِیْمًا وَاخْفِضْ لَہُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَۃِ وَ قُلْ رَّبِّ ارْحَمْہُمَا کَمَا رَبَّیَانِیْ صَغِیْرًا رَبُّکُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِیْ نُفُوْسِکُمْ إِنْ تَکُوْنُوْا صَالِحِیْنَ فَإِنَّہٗ کَانَ لِلأَوَّابِیْنَ غَفُوْرًا ۔‘‘ (الإسراء: 23،24)
“And your Lord has commanded that you worship none but Him, and treat your parents with kindness, if they reach old age in your life, whether one of them reaches or both. (And if any of your words offend you) never say “I am” to them, nor speak to them in a polite manner, nor speak to them politely, and bow before them with compassion and humility. Stay and pray like this: Our Lord! So have mercy on them, as they brought me up as a child (not just appearances, but respecting them from the heart). He is the Most Forgiving.”
(لقمان: ۱۴) ( وَوَصَّیۡنَا الْاِنۡسَانَ بِوَالِدَیۡہِ ۚ حَمَلَتْہُ اُمُّہٗ وَہۡنًا عَلٰی وَہۡنٍ وَّ فِصٰلُہٗ فِیۡ عَامَیۡنِ اَنِ اشْکُرْ لِیۡ وَ لِوَالِدَیۡکَ )
We insisted that the man was placed in the womb in favor of his parents by his mother lifting him severely, and his weaning is in two years, that is, the right of me and my parents.
In one Hadith The Rasool (PBUH) said:
ھما جنّتک ونا رک (سنن ابن ماجہ)
“Your parents are your paradise and your hell.”
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said:
يَسُبُّ الرَّجُلُ أبَا الرَّجُلِ فَيَسُبَّ أبَاهُ، وَيَسُبُّ أمُّهُ فَيَسُبُّ أمُّهُ. (بخاری)
“If a person insults another person’s father, he insults his father, and if another person insults another person’s mother and he (in return) insults his mother, then this is a curse on his parents.” Is equivalent to).
